📍 Trump imposes tariffs on furniture - Vietnam is at the forefront of risk

📌 Trump announced that he will impose tariffs on imported furniture within the next 50 days, stemming from his ambition to bring manufacturing back to the U.S., particularly in traditional states like North Carolina and Michigan.

📌 Currently, about 70% of furniture consumed in the U.S. is imported. The U.S. also accounts for 30% of total global furniture import demand, so any tax policy from Washington creates a ripple effect.

📌 In 2023, Vietnam surpassed China to become the number 1 furniture supplier for the U.S. market, with a turnover of approximately $9.4B by 2025. If Trump imposes tariffs on furniture, the country that will be most affected will be Vietnam.
