Malta's MiCA license is under review by EU regulatory authorities.

According to Huoxing Finance news, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) released a review on Thursday regarding the authorization process for cryptocurrency asset service providers (CASP) by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), which is the main regulatory body in Europe responsible for overseeing the regulation of the cryptocurrency asset market (MiCA). Although EU regulators stated that the Malta Financial Services Authority met certain expectations in terms of regulatory setup and staffing, the authority indicated that Malta only "partially met expectations" in the authorization process of an unnamed CASP.
