The Congolese government and the 'M23 Movement' held talks in Doha.

On July 10, Jin10 reported that on July 9 local time, a diplomatic official stated that the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and representatives of the anti-government armed group "M23 Movement" held talks in Doha, the capital of Qatar, regarding issues in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, aiming to reach a broader ceasefire agreement. The representatives of both sides have held multiple rounds of talks in Doha since March of this year. On April 23, the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo issued a statement saying that after dialogues with the "M23 Movement" in Doha, both sides reached a consensus on promoting the ceasefire and peace process.
